Increasingly, organizations are recognizing the benefits of colocating their mission-critical equipment within a data center. Colocation is becoming popular because of the time and cost savings a company can realize as result of using shared data center infrastructure.
Our Network Operations Center, or data center, is a self-contained, glass-enclosed facility within our headquarters building. This Tier 1 center - the only one of its kind in West Michigan - has its own power, fire suppression system, heating/cooling system, security system and backup generator. It also features multiple redundant connections to the Internet backbone through carriers in various cities. It is designed to remain fully operational in the event of a power outage or failure of a major backbone carrier.
